Great group house in big sky
This is a great house for a larger group. We were three couples with seven children between us. The downstairs is a great space for 6 to 15-year-old kids, and the upstairs comfortably sleeps three couples And has a great living room kitchen area for gathering. Theresa and Gary were easy to communicate with and great hosts. The kitchen and bathrooms are very well equipped, which made cooking for our group very easy. The house has amazing views and a lovely, hot tub. We didn’t have the best of weather for skiing unfortunately, which made getting back from the mountain on skis difficult. However, even with limited snow, it was easy to ski down to the mountain. All in all, it was a great trip and a lovely home, and we would be happy to return in the future.

Best House ever
The first thing that you notice is the amazing view. When you start to look around you will find the most incredible detail in labeling the cabinets and drawers so that you know where everything is. As a detailed person and cook this was awesome. All of us loved the house and were impressed with not only the quality of everything but also it felt like home. Ski out was very cool. Twice we followed the groomer down to the White Otter lift to start our day. The ski back was interesting. My recommendation is to ski right at the top of the White Otter lift and hug the slope on the left. You will know it when you see it. Then there is a short hike up from the base of the White Otter chair to the Cascade Lift. Catch your breath because the stairs you need to take up to the road will be tough. Then it is smooth skiing to the second groomer that will bring you back to the house. Loved the trip, Loved the house and I will so come back again and stay here.

Fantastic!!!
Wonderful property! Nice arrangement and bedding for 12 adults. Amazing how well the house is stocked with spices, toiletries, etc. Far superior to any previous VRBO home our group has rented. Driving to the free parking at the base worked out better for us older skiers. But the others mastered the out/in instructions well. Nice heated garage! Extra refrigerator was a great touch. Property manager was very responsive and did an excellent job of resolving a minor hot tub issue that we probably caused. Interaction with owners was great. Friendly and very helpful. Excellent in home book on the house as well as things to do in the local area. Loved the radiant heat in the floors. Hot tub was neat. The steam shower was nice. Thanks for sharing you home with us.

Cozy, fun, comfortable, multi-family mountain home!
Beautiful neighborhood, fun ski resort and quaint town! Great home for big cozy family meals, clean hot tub, large mud room/lockers for ski equipment. Ski-out/hike-in property. Fun morning run to the chairlift more effort to ski back to home. We had 3 families with adult children and had a blast together! Don’t miss the dinner sleigh ride, hike to falls and weekend dance jam on plaza.

Lots of games and toys for all ages. Sleds came in really handy. Shortage of snow. But we got to use the outdoor firepit and the grill. The wood burning fireplace very nice amenity. A very cozy rustic house. Owner and property manager very attentive and responsive to all our needs and questions. Pantry and kitchen well stocked with the basics.

Great House!
Great House. Very well stocked. They even had travel size tooth paste, mouth wash, floss. 3 main bedrooms upstairs and two bunk rooms below with lots of space for kids. Great gaming center in lower level. Kitchen with everything including 4 bottles of wine that you could use & replce (we met friends at their place and no time to get wine so this came in handy. Then replaced the next day). Only down side was it was a bad snow year in December for all resorts in North America so ski-in/out not available. But they do have a shuttle and free parking at the mountain village so easy solution.

Wonderful home in a beautiful setting
We all thoroughly enjoyed out week in Big Sky. This home is beautiful, has wonderful amenities, and is incredibly well located and well stocked. The views are amazing and we lacked for nothing. We visited Yellowstone and went fly fishing, played golf, went hang gliding, hiked, shopped and dined out in great restaurants. When it rained we had football, ping pong, and dozens of games to play. I highly recommend this home.

The house was definitely more than we expected. A family of 10, we had no trouble fitting in with an abundance of room for everyone. The supplies were also more than we expected. Views were beautiful! If we were skiers we would be back in the winter. Thank you for a comfortable home to come back to everyday.

Three generation family reunion ski trip
Fabulous property! Ideally set up for our extended family, including four couples and two young children. Incredibly well stocked with kitchen utensils/appliances, spices, condiments, and paper products. There is also a spare refrigerator in the garage to accommodate large groups. The driveway is steep, but there’s plenty of parking at the top. The garage easily accommodated a Ford Expedition, and a Jeep Cherokee. We kept three other vehicles behind the garage, a converted ambulance, a full-size pick up camper and a Dodge Promaster van. The ski-in/ski out was quite convenient. We are all advanced skiers, but it should not be difficult for even a beginner with a few days of experience. The access trail literally runs along the side of the driveway. When leaving the property in the morning, we would put our skis on across the road, at the end of the driveway, on the trail. On days where we had good fresh snow, we put them on right beside the house and skied across the road. From there, it was a pleasant and simple ski down to the White Otter lift that takes you to the base area. Coming back is a bit more convoluted, but still quite convenient. The Cascade lift brings you just above the house and you can ski right down to the driveway. Detailed instructions were provided. We had one small issue with the front door that we wanted to make the owner and property manager aware of. They were exceptionally responsive and were on site to deal with it within the hour.

Spacious and well stocked
Sky Haus was a terrific place to stay for our Big Sky vacation. It was well-stocked with plenty of room for our family group of 11. The owners were terrifically responsive to any questions. Overall, this was a great experience. My only and very slight negative would be that it was a little tricky to ski back to the house at the end of the day. Once we figured it out, it wasn’t bad, but a bit of a trek for the younger (slower) skiers. Hiwever, all the other amenities of the place easily made up for that. The consensus of our group was that we would be thrilled to stay here again.

Amazing Vacation!
We had an amazing trip to Big Sky, and staying at Sky Haus was a huge part of that. The property was fantastic, and perfect for a big group. The great room is spacious and great to hang out in for everyone. The game room in the basement was perfect for the kids playing video games and watching movies. The ski-in/ski-out process was as advertised. Skiing out to the White Otter lift is very easy. Once we found our way, the ski-in process was also fairly easy for the adults and our two 8 year-olds. It does require a small amount of hiking, but is very doable. Gary and Theresa were extremely responsive and easy to work with. They were a tremendous help in answering questions leading up to our trip and during. They were very professional and kind. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and we all agreed that we would like to return.

Winter Perfect
As everyone has said--the view, the location, the incredibly well-stocked house, the space to spread out, and the space to be together--are exceptional at Sky Haus! Truly, they are! I want to add this list the kindness and generosity of Theresa and Gary. I have never seen a house so thoughtfully and well stocked--complete with a fabulous welcome basket. Theresa and Gary deeply care about their guests, the house, and beauty of Montana, and we saw this in every aspect of our stay. For example, two days before the deep cold the U.S. experienced before and during Christmas '22, Theresa texted to make sure we were alright, and indeed, we were! We had a snug, warm, and cozy house, plenty of firewood, and a view we could soak up without stepping outside. Other times when I had a question, Theresa responded quickly. In fact, we took up their suggestion to snowmobile in Yellowstone (Two Top is great, and undoubtedly, Amy is their best guide.) and grab pizza in Big Sky. Theresa and Gary are caring owners, and this makes Sky Haus not only an incredible vacation destination, but it also made us feel welcomed. Thank you!

Heaven
I absolutely cannot express how amazing this home and location is. The images do not give Sky Haus enough justice. If you could picture heaven I am pretty sure this is what it would look like. The owners thought of literally everything a person would need during their stay and extra little needs. There is an amazing view of Lone Peak from the master bedroom and porch, my husband called it Paramount Mountain. I have stayed in many rental homes and by far this is my favorite. When my family arrived early we were permitted to drive around or sit on the property or leave stuff in the garage which was very kind. We chose to wait on the property and Chris the property manager was so kind and hilarious. Chris answered so many questions and shared stories of Montana, provided suggestions on where to visit. Chris even took the kiddos around the house to show and tell about a bear cub who visited the outside one time. I would recommend if you are visiting Ousel Falls the description on the Falls website is not quite accurate it was a difficult hike for those in our parties with some mobility issues. ATV riding through Summitt in Bozeman was fantastic in the mountains. My favorite part other than the home was our visit to Virginia City ghostown about 1.45 hour drive. Do not hesitate in renting this property you will not be disappointed!!! Thank you again Theressa and Gary for your kindness, hospitality, gifts, use of your home and our memories!

We stayed the week of Memorial Day and had a wonderful experience. The only thing more beautiful than the cabin was the view. We had absolutely everything we could have possibly needed. Great Montana House!
We rented Sky Haus for our family's first trip to Big Sky. We have rented many ski houses and everybody voted this one as the best of the bunch. The house is in a very good location, a quiet and very upscale area near the resort. It is private and quiet. The house is large, comfortable, clean and extremely well equipped . We had beautiful views, plenty of firewood, wonderful steam showers and a very efficient new hot tub. We saw a fox from our kitchen window and bear prints in the snow--but sadly, no bear sitings! The owners and caretaker are extremely welcoming and very helpful and responsive. We didn't have any problems or issues with the house during the week. We were there the first week of April so the lift that provides "ski out" was not operating. This wasn't a surprise b/c the owners were very forthcoming that this would probably be the case. However, we had great snow, and lots of fun skiing. We often ski in CO and Utah but we now think Big Sky is our favorite mountain--super laid back, no lift lines and a great variety of runs for the beginners and experts in our group. We plan to return and hope to be able to rent Sky Haus again.

Perfect for the whole family
Leading up to our week in Big Sky the communication from Theresa could not have been better. We knew exactly what to expect and Theresa was quick to answer any questions we had. Arriving at the house was easy and the kids quickly set up in the bunk and game rooms while the adults settled in. It was so easy to find everything! I have never been in a house so well stocked with all the things you forget to buy at the store. The house was very comfortable for our 6 adults and 5 kids. We had one issue that between Theresa and Chris, the property manager, was resolved to our satisfaction quickly. Such a pleasure to work with both of them! What amazed and thrilled us every time I looked out one of the many windows was the view. Absolutely spectacular! My favorite part of the day was waking up and enjoying my coffee while the sun rose and lit up Lone Peak. Breathtaking. This was our first trip to Big Sky and it will not be our last. The Skiing was exhilarating and had something for every skill level. The “littles” in our group improved leaps and bounds in ski school and were riding lifts and able to ski back to the house by the end of the week. I could go on raving about the steam showers, the outdoor fire pit, the mud room, even the boot dryers! But you get the idea. My family will be back in the winter, for sure. But now we are trying to plan when we can go back in the summer!
