The room was very big, spotless and the x-large tub was a treat after lots of walking! The reception folks were very kind and personable. We had a great view of the castle from our room, and the location is great- right on the border of Old Town and Lesser Town. Excellent, high quality hotel. Clean, well maintained, helpful staff who spoke English. The area is residential and businesses so very quiet. I would recommend if you want to be away from the bustle if the city centre It is however well outside the main centre of prague, approximately 25mins on the metro. There are teo metro stations close by so its not an issue

We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Bologna while visiting for Christmas. The location was ideal, a short walk from the Old Town Square or Charles Bridge and not far from a metro. The roads around it are small but we felt perfectly safe even late at night. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we were welcomed with a small mulled wine which was a lovely touch. The room was a good size with a comfy bed and ample storage space with a good wardrobe and lots of drawers, and a small safe for your passport etc. Nice and quiet and comfortable and we slept well. Fab shower! We appreciated the little kitchenette area too with the fridge. Breakfast was excellent. Two of our days we arrived after 10 but there was still plenty of choice. Cereals, fruit, delicious pastries as well as hot food such as scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon etc which was very good. My husband loved the hot chocolate and my favourite was the apple filled lattice pastries! Our last day we went at a busier time but no problem getting a table. We can also recommend the little burger bistro next door to the hotel, excellent burgers! We were very happy with our choice as it was good value and we would stay here again if we returned to Prague.
