Family Style home -2 bedrooms 1 bath

This is our guest house. It is a cozy 2 bed 1 bath ranch home. Has all the amenities and comforts of home and located near Ferdinand State Forest. Large master bedroom with queen sized mattress. Guest bedroom with two full sized beds. Both bedrooms are across from the tiled bathroom. Laundry room at the end of the hall way between bathroom and master bedroom. Hardwood floors in main living area and bedrooms. A nice size tiled kitchen with open dining and living space and wood burning fireplace. TV is in the living room area with WIFI availability. The house sleeps five guest across two bedrooms and additional sleeping options in the living areas (sectional couch with pull out full sized bed)

Nice yard with lots of forestry. Man made trails in woods behind the house. The home is fully stocked for your comfort. Email or call now to reserve your special vacation.

Such a cozy stay
We typically stay in Ferdinand every year for a family reunion. We weren't able to stay at our normal place this year and found this on a whim. It was absolutely perfect. My mother was with us and I had a recent knee injury. Everything was easy in and out, the layout was also convenient. It is certainly in an area that we call God's Country, but the STARS you see at night are worth it! Amazing. The cozy porch was perfect for star gazing or morning coffee. We had a fawn and a hummingbird join us for our morning cup of joe, not to mention the property's official greeter, Koda. Thank you for the hospitality. We saw the property owner since their home is very close and he was beyond kind and helpful. If I were needing to travel to any of the area towns, Ferdinand, Jasper, Dale, Huntingburg, etc, I would certainly consider staying here again.

Best Stay for Mom Friends and Four Boys — Holiday World Trip 2024!!
We brought our sons and a couple buddies to Holiday World and then wanted to find a cute place to stay that fit us all and gave us space…this is all that and more!! We got greeted by Koda, a beautiful husky that is so kind and well mannered (we all loved him). The place has all the amenities listed and is just right; out in the country, enough space to spread out, basketball hoop, fire pit to do s’mores and even a full kitchen to cook! They even had spices there! It has a rustic charm and is very clean! Will definitely be back-highly recommend!

Quite and secluded
Loved it. Beautiful setting plenty of room to move around the the washer drier we were caught in rain Saturday. The Horse shoe pits in back are a great time killer and a lot of fun. We spent hours there in the afternoons. Great place great hosts I highly recommend this location.

Four of us were down to fish a tournament on Patoka Lake. Shannon was great on the lead up communication and Collin got us and our boats situated. Could not have asked for a better location and hosts (including the guard dog)! Will definitely be staying there again next year.

Quiet, cozy & beautiful
My only surprise was how close the rental was to the main house but dont let that deter you. You will have your privacy and solitude. Owners are very respectful. Their dog Koda was the welcoming committee, she was a delight..and the only one that we met. This was a cozy set up, veey clean, nice front porch area to sit by firepit with some wine. Great place for star gazing. Beautiful property!!

Quick trip with great memories
Only good things to say about both the property and the hosts. Beautiful property that feels like a huge park. The lodging was clean and the kitchen was equipped really well if you want to cook. Very friendly interactions with the host- a husky named Koda, and his owners! We made a day trip to holiday world with the kids, but could just as easily have stayed and done some hiking in the state forest. Hope to be back soon!

We stayed here while we attended a wedding nearby. It was perfect for what we needed with large rooms, a stocked kitchen, and bathroom. Everything was so clean! The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for our children. It was quiet and the owners were very friendly. Thank you!

Great place!
Highly recommend this place for your next getaway. We took our 4 grandkids to Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana and this place had everything we needed. Shannon and Colin were great hosts and so was Koda!

Rest and relaxation heaven
Beautiful property and impeccably clean. Kids could hardly wait to get settled in and enjoy all of the outdoor amenities. Fire pits, hiking, basketball and best of all were the host’s fur babies. Host provided a warm welcome and early checkin since our stay was so short. Only regret was not able to stay longer. Will return.

This place is absolutely beautiful! My family was able to have a nice, safe, clean place to stay. We were surrounded by the beautiful scenery. They have a basket ball hoop set up and my boys had so much fun playing. The hosts live right by this house, so if you need anything, they are right there. They are also very quick to answer any questions. We had such a fun and relaxing time. We would gladly rent again!

Wonderful, clean rental. Our family stayed here one night between our two day trip to Holiday World. Owners gave great directions. Rental sits adjacent to the owners home. Very quiet property. Has an ice maker to fill up coolers. The pull out couch was comfortable. My kids loved the hunting decorations. Will stay here again.

Great Family Vacation Location
We wanted a hub for a southern Indiana family vacation. This was it. The price was on point, we had 2 adults and 4 kids (11, 8, 6, & 3). We had a boys rooms and my daughter slept on the pull out. The kitchen had what we needed for preparing dinners every night and packing lunches for the day. We went to Lincoln State Park, Holiday World, Big Splash Adventure, Wyandotte Caves, and O'Bannon Woods State Park. The hosts were accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend!

I was really impressed by this property in person. Based on the photos, I thought it would be small but it has 2 large bedrooms, the bathroom is massive, and the living/dining/kitchen area was open and large. Very clean! And they provided plenty of towels and toiletries. Location: this is right next to someone's house. Just an FYI. We didn’t have an issue with it, since we only stayed one night and were gone for a wedding most of the time. But I could see other people wanting to know this. The gravel road to get to the property is narrow, has curves, and a slight grade. Also, just as a heads up. I wouldn’t try to haul a boat to it. I would stay here again. Great price! And they have very cute, friendly dogs 😊
