Such a special place to call home base on our family trip to Grenada. The family and staff were so kind and welcoming. They took every opportunity to make our stay more special and memorable. Very relaxed environment and our privacy was respected fully yet everyone was available to assist in every way. We cannot wait to return to this special gem on the island. Silversands is a lovely hotel. It’s small and intimate. Stayed for 3 nights/4 days during a quiet time, but I can’t imagine it being too hectic even fully occupied. Staff is lovely. Rooms are very large and well-appointed. Food is a bit pricey but to be expected. There also are some casual restaurants a short walk down the beach for a change of scenery.

This resort was truly beautiful!! The staff was generally kind. Dontee, Dominique, & Joshua all greatly added to my experience along with many other staff. Unfortunately, Siobhan & Christine were not pleasant upon my arrival at the resort. I was very displeased with their service and lack of care to my room not being available at the 3pm check in time. However, Dontee jumped in and helped make the remainder of my experience pleasurable. Especially Dominique in assisting in coordinating my food options on and off the resort!

We took some time to go inland on the Island of Grenada. Unlike many topical islands that are more of a desert landscape Grenada has a lush tropical landscape. It is easy to find pineapple growing on the sides of the roads. There are so many beautiful waterfalls as you start to make your way up into the forest area!

The Westerhall Estate offers a lovely alternative from the beaches. The guide is incredibly knowledgable about the rum making process as it was done in the days before automation. The various pieces of equipment, though no longer operational, are well maintained and scattered throughout the property. You get to sample seven different rums so best to have a designated driver! Be sure to stop by the museum before you leave. It's full of history and interesting artifacts like the island's first car and an antique soft drink machine.
