We were incredibly disgusted and disappointed with the condition of our room. No guest should ever have to pay to stay at a hotel and then walk into a room that is left in this condition. The floors had clearly not been swept or mopped and were covered with food, crumbs, and debris throughout the room. There was also a cream-colored substance smeared across the closet doors, along with crumbs and food residue left on top of the countertops. The overall condition of the room was filthy and completely unacceptable. We attempted to contact both the front desk and housekeeping by phone, but no one answered. My husband ultimately went down to the front desk while I searched the property for a member of the cleaning staff. When the cleaning staff came to the room, they were visibly surprised and concerned by how filthy it was themselves. Unfortunately, there were no other rooms available because the hotel was sold out, so we had no choice but to remain in the room despite its condition. We understand that mistakes can happen, but this was far beyond a minor housekeeping issue. The condition of the room was unacceptable and significantly impacted our stay. We were incredibly disgusted that a room in this condition was considered ready for a guest.
