Master bed includes king and full bathroom. Open kitchen overlooks a large family room as well as a second living space. Spacious deck with a breathtaking private view of the beach. Please note that during this time, the stairs will NOT be down but the beach is fully accessible via a public opening about 600ft away. During times of severe weather, the house will be boarded to protect the home as it is directly on the water. Although this is the full home, there is a basement apartment that may or may not have tenants. Everything about this home was terrific - the location was at the beach and away from the traffic, the size was spacious and comfortable for us all, the gas stove warmed the home quickly, the kitchen was stocked with essentials, and there were extra blankets and towels available if needed. We live on the coast of Maine but this was the first time that I had ever heard the sound of the waves crashing on the sea wall and then retreating back into the ocean across the beach stones. It was for sad reasons we came to Scituate but the host made us feel welcomed and the house was everything we hoped it would be and more. Jackie's house is beautiful, comfortable, well equipped and the view sublime. We loved our stay. The sea is at our feet and the sound of the waves rock us at night. We basically had the beach to ourselves with just the occasional couple strolling by. The kids loved it and we ate every meal on the deck overlooking the water. Can't get any better than that. It is a steep walk from the deck to the beach, so little ones do need a hand to hold. The house had everything we needed for family meals, conversation spaces, and of course sleeping. There was a huge deck with plenty of seating and a gorgeous view of the ocean. People around the immediate area were friendly and welcoming. The host was fantastic! The house had plenty of space for all of us. Everything was so perfect we started making plans for summer. Great house with plenty of space and amenities. Conveniently located to the commuter train to Boston and a short drive to Plymouth. Locals are very friendly and food is great.
