We booked a stay and were told upon arrival, that the hotel had overbooked. They did not offer a refund, or "walk" us like what is generally expected from a holiday inn. We called many other hotels in the area and they were all booked. We ended up sleeping in our car. No customer service at all!

8.6/10 Excellent! (133 reviews)
We stayed in the Commissary. Very interesting old home from 1820 but the property (or at least, the care taker's position) has recently changed hands, so you'll see why the "breakfast" portion of "B & B" is not available right now. No other guests were staying the evening of our visit, so the caretaker gave us a tour of the house, and even let us see the attic. It really is just like the Loyd Hall website states...that there is no one else in the home, in terms of staff members, and if you book one of the inside suites, you will be alone in the house. Very quiet, peaceful setting. We were very comfortable in the Commissary.

"You get what you pay for. If you keep that in mind, then you will not be disappointed. It is an old property that has issues, but it is safe and is great for a short stay where you need somewhere to sleep for the night."
