“Wir wurden sehr freundlich mit Croissants und einer Flasche Wein empfangen. Die umgebaute Kapelle ist ein wunderschönes Ferienhaus und ideal für zwei Personen. Das Haus ist perfekt eingerichtet hat ein schönes großes Bad, einen komfortablen Schlafbereich auf einer Galerie und ein schönen Wohnbereich. Es liegt sehr zentral, um schöne Ausflüge in die Umgebung zu unternehmen, z.B. nach Glastonbury, ans Meer oder zum Wandern nach Exmoor. Zwei Minuten zu Fuß ist ein gemütlicher Pub mit sehr leckerem...

“Very lovely cottage. Safe and secure parking at the back. Located on the main road, but well insulated with double glazing from road noise. A short walk to local grocery shop (had fresh fruit and vegetables, and bacon and sausages from a local butcher), cafe, and 2 pubs, plus a great general store (Morgans) which was a life saver when we ran out of calpol and the local pharmacy was closed! All facilities available to make food at home, and i easily managed a home cooked easter sunday roast...

“Perfect for our visit. In the area for a wedding and it really filled the bill for my wife, myself, our son and daughter and our young granddaughter. Co-op store across the street. Coffee and bakery 50 feet away. Pub with meal service 500 feet up the lane. Comfortable, large, well equipped, and charming. Will stay again at the next opportunity. Great communication with the owner and easy access to the property. ”

“What a wonderful home to stay in. This is just the most cozy, warm, cottage imaginable. It lacks for nothing. The house is on a lovely farm with great walking areas. Pete and Bev are superb hosts, and were happy to offer whatever we might need, while not being at all intrusive. We visit family in Dorset often, and shall definitely hope to stay in this delightful spot again. We cannot think of anything negative to mention!”

“Purcombe Farmhouse is a gem. It provides comfortable and very well equipped accommodation, suitable for all ages - our family group were aged 66 down to 1yr and we all had a wonderful week there. Lovely gardens to explore and the hot tub was a definite plus later at night! This property is so peaceful and with stunning views, yet only a 10 minute drive from Bridport”

“This was our fourth stay at the cottage and the one thing I can say that we really like is consistency. It is always clean, welcoming and a bit of an oasis in the centre of Shaftesbury. We had a rental car and use of a parking space cannot be overstated in the town. The cottage is cozy and everything works!
