"Was even cuter than the pictures showed! Very warm and clean and everything was clearly well thought out and provided for. I didn’t see anywhere on the listing that we would check in at the property upon arrival so I had to call VRBO to clarify before arriving since I had not received an email with check-in info like they said I was supposed to. "The house is kept beautifully clean. Views from it are mind blowingly fabulous. Needs more hanging space in the bathroom and unfortunately there was a smashed window covered in cardboard in the front hall that I was not informed about. Other than that, just a beautiful home from home and an incredible team at Keswick Cottages!! If you’re thinking about booking with them…just book…right now!!"

"Ideal location. Lovely views and walks. Amazing shower. very clean room.. Good comfort food with big portions. Staff outstanding , super friendly . Coffee and Tea in room, nice toiletries. Local bus stops right outside, local train service 5 minutes walk. Good beachcafe just outside, Comfortable lounge and relaxing area. Plenty local info on the Lake District. i would return. Start of coast to coast walk. "

"The staff were friendly and efficient and the room was nice. The bathroom was a bit dirty and needed some maintenance. There was also quite a lot of dust in some areas of the room and the kettle and iron were about 30 years old and didn't work very well. They closed downstairs completely at 22:30 and sent everyone sat having a drink by the fire to their rooms so they could turn the lights off, which seemed a bit odd. It also wasn't clear on the itinerary from hotels.com whether breakfast was included. I checked the hotel website a few days before arrival and the same room including breakfast was listed at the same price so I assumed it was. To make sure, I was going to switch to a direct reservation but despite this being a free cancellation, pay on arrival booking, they had set the terms to have no cancellation for a week before arrival, so I couldn't. On arrival they didn't say anything other than asking if I wanted to book in for breakfast, then charged it as an extra at the end. Generally the stay was really nice but there were a few issues which would put me off staying again."
