“This was one of our very best experiences on our 30 day road trip. The staff was impeccable and the grounds were absolutely stunning and beautiful. The pool was too cold to enjoy but nothing can be done about that. It is a beautiful infinity pool with a great view the hot tub was enjoyable even though the jets were not functioning as powerfully as normal, we still enjoyed it. The breakfast was really delicious. Many personal touches like complementary water and chocolates were appreciated.”

“Caroline, the proprietress of the Victorian by the Sea, is a delightful hostess. The inn itself is lovely and beautifully maintained, with colorful, well-tended gardens. So unprofessional and so "Terrible" is the review since we never had the "joy" of a happy birthday celebration. “Delightful in located blocks from the ocean in Castine. Really great breakfast, bikes available to use, good wifi. There was a power outage due to a storm while I was there and while the building didn't have a generator, breakfast was still served the next morning and I noticed very little difference to the inn's normal procedures.
