“Just book it!!! This beautiful cabin is even better than in pictures! The property is so peaceful and a great place to explore Maine coastal area. We stopped on our way up to Bar Harbor, I wish we had time to stay longer! The cabin was brand new had beautiful hand crafted wooden elements. The inside was spotless with so many smart uses of space. The decor was something that stood out to me, it felt so posh and thoughtful with the interior design. “Good place”

“We planned an Aug '26 trip to Maine months in advance from Florida. Expedia or the rental Mgr requires a credit card to hold the room. Our schedule changed in May '26, so I cancelled the room. On Friday evening 8/7, we get a call from the Mgr wondering where we are. We relayed that we canceled the booking months ago. We were still charged for the nights' stay. This is a fraudulent charge & no way to run a business. Be careful if you have to use your cc to hold a room, then have to cancel.”

“Check in was quick and staff were friendly. Our cottage was cozy, clean, and comfortable. View of the bay was beautiful .Really enjoyed sitting on the deck with cool breezes. Absolutely would recommend Colonial Gables to anyone.”

“Located by the shore just north of Belfast, Fireside is a great location while exploring the Maine coast. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful making check-in and out a breeze. The pool and amenities are great especially if you’re traveling with kids. With views of the water, you might catch a glimpse of whales if you take some time to relax and enjoy it. “Advisory to travelers: The hotel office is not always manned but they have 2 phone numbers meets posted on the door. I got an immediate response from Nicole who was awesome. She walked me through the cypher lock on room door and sent me 2 follow on notes to call if I needed anything. Great customer service —I have traveled extensively for business and pleasure, and that means a lot to me. Would definitely stay again. “This B&B was full of history. The breakfasts were delicious and featured a lot of local items. The true gems of Captain Sweetsers' Inn are the sweet and attentive owners.”

“Everything was great but at this price the expectation is better and clearer coffee pot and softer toilet tissue. Three large king beds were excellent, better than expected. Bath towels also were excellent size and quality. We knew and we're able to manage with only one and half bath but if you have more people staying at the property, then only one shower may delay in every body getting ready.”
