Come home from a day of skiing or hiking to a soak in our new hot tub; Enjoy outdoor relaxation on the large farmer's porch; grill up your dinner and relax on the expansive deck, play pickle ball in the large back yard or pull up a custom Adirondack chair in front of the fire pit.

Indoors on the first floor you'll find a large family room with a wood burning stove and custom-made wood furniture. The first floor includes a fully stocked kitchen, a dining area, a queen size bedroom, a full bathroom, AC, and a large mudroom.

Family Holiday Retreat
It was a wonderful relaxing much needed time spent with my adult children. Away from all the hustle and bustle of work and it was great to be off the grid, no phones (although service was excellent) no tv (which was provided) just quality time with my grown children. We played board games and cooked great meals. jess and Kevin’s home was warm and cozy and decorated like something out of a magazine. Their kitchen was fully stocked and so was the wood supply which we appreciated because it was damp with all the rain and the fire took the chill and dampness out of the air. The cabin is located near everything including great restaurants and grocers. Jess left us a booklet filled with everything you needed to know which was so helpful. After a day of hiking we all enjoyed the Hot tub. We were very grateful we could bring our dogs , they are very well behaved because they travel with us everywhere. All in all, I cannot say enough about the Cabin, the hosts, and the the location. We have been vacationing to Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine for over 30 years and this place rates in the top 5. Thank you Jess and Kevin for the memories

Perfect getaway
Black Dog Cabin is a very special place in a beautiful setting. Plenty of room for our three generation family. Comfortable bedrooms and spacious living spaces. Fabulous dining room table for family dinners. Great fire pit for mandatory s’mores. Jess is gracious and on point with communication and very accommodating. A surprise gift basket that was fit for both two and four legged friends! 🐾🐾

Memorable week in Brownfield, Maine
We recently had the pleasure of spending a week at this delightful VRBO rental in Brownfield, Maine, and the experience left me thoroughly impressed. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charming ambiance, thoughtful amenities, and stunning surroundings that this rental had to offer. Accommodation: The rental itself was cozy yet spacious enough to accommodate a group of 12 comfortably. The interior was tastefully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Cleanliness was clearly a priority, as the space was immaculate upon arrival. Amenities: The amenities provided were nothing short of exceptional. The kitchen was fully equipped with modern appliances, making meal preparation a breeze. Additionally, the availability of a washer and dryer proved to be incredibly convenient for a week-long stay. The entertainment options were also impressive, with a range of activities such as board games, a collection of movies, and a smart TV. Location: The rental's location was truly a highlight. Nestled in the picturesque town of Brownfield, it provided a perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility. The surrounding natural beauty was simply breathtaking, with opportunities for hiking, exploring nearby lakes, and enjoying the serene countryside. Furthermore, the proximity to local attractions and charming eateries ensured that there was never a dull moment. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable getaway in a charming setting.

Wonderful and relaxing cabin in the woods!
We just returned from spending a week at the cabin. For some in our party, it was our second visit to the cabin because we loved it so much. It is very inviting and relaxing. There is a lot to do at the cabin and the surrounding area. We enjoyed walking and hiking in the area, kayaking and tubing, visiting the local eateries, and venturing to places in the state. The game room, spa, and fire pit at the cabin were the kids’ favorites. Jess and Kevin are the best hosts and responded quickly to our questions. We hope to return again soon!

Great Place to get away
The place was great! It was a good place to get away but also to travel to more populated areas. Everyone loved it. The description stated there were only 2 A/C units but when we arrived all of the upstairs bedrooms had a window unit along with the living room on the main level. This was a treat because it was quite hot and humid during our stay. They provided a book on what to see, eat, shop, etc which was quite helpful. The providers checked in with us every so often which was quite nice. We also had a flat tire and they even helped with that. Their caretaker came over and fixed it (unexpected treat).

Another Fun Stay!
We love staying here, it is close to lots of fun activities and the property is perfect for our extended family. The mosquitoes were intense for some reason this year so we stayed inside when we were at the property but there was plenty of space for all of us and our pets!

Great winter getaway
We just returned from a fun weekend getaway here! The cabin is gorgeous - beautifully decorated and well appointed with everything you could need. The cabin easily accommodated our large family group. We enjoyed all the amenities (hot tub, air hockey, foosball). It was an easy drive to two nearby mountains for skiing and tubing. The hosts provided so much helpful information and a lovely gift basket. We had a wonderful time and hope to stay here again!

Great cabin tucked in the woods.
Our ski weekend group of 11 people stayed here for a long weekend. The owners were very friendly and easy to communicate with. They provided everything we would need and gave us access to plenty of firewood. The cabin was clean and well appointed. It had a great cozy cabin feel. The hot tub right off the deck was a blast to use. Our group of 11 did feel a bit tight when everyone was eating/cooking, but other than that it was a perfect cabin getaway!
