Cozy rural cabin near Texas A&M University

Rural property just 30 minutes from The Texas A&M University campus. Log cabin built in 2021 is set in a former Christmas tree farm for added charm. Firepit and BBQ areas are located near a covered porch complete with rocking chairs. No internet, just peace and quiet. Full kitchen and large dining table. Sleeps 12. Perfect for a corporate retreat or after an Aggie game or other family event up to 20 people. Events must be approved by the property owner prior to booking. Underage drinking is not permitted.

I really liked this property because the photos make you think that you are all alone on the property in the country. When we arrived we found out that the cabin is actually in the back of the property. There is a house in the front of the property that I would assume belongs to the owners. The location of the cabin made me feel like it was a guest house. Otherwise it was very quite and no one bothered us while we were there. The host was very sweet and helpful.

The cabin was perfect. The beds are heaven, there was plenty of parking, and well supplied with everything we needed. The owner were extremely helpful with some questions we had prior to our arrival, and were available if we needed them while we were there (but we didnt need anything). We will definitely stay there again any time we can!

Perfect family getaway!
We just spent the best weekend at The Cabin! The space was comfortable and sparkling clean. Each room was thoughtfully furnished and had everything we needed. The hosts were so kind and communication was great. The property was beautiful and well maintained and there was an endless supply of wood for the firepit. We were able to unplug and enjou each other's company. We already booked another stay!

Enjoyed our stay in the peaceful country for the week of thanksgiving. Sad to lose the Christmas tree farm, but thankful to experience it one more time. Larry and Phyllis are superior hosts.

Amazing once again.
We stayed here for the first time in March, and then again this time in November. It was absolutely wonderful! The owners are great with communication. The property is beautiful and the cabin is absolutely perfect for our 7 people family. They provide pots and pans utensils, beautiful dishes and mason jar glasses. You have everything your really need right there. We took our croquet set to play outdoor games. The fire pit with tree stump seats are also great! There are plenty of towels for everyone. They really do take care of all your needs. I highly recommend this cabin and we plan on visiting again in the future. Such a much needed time of rest.

Cozy, Quiet Getaway
A beautiful property, this cabin is perfect for a weekend getaway! It was so nice to unplug and enjoy the firepit, play some cards, and sit on the porch. We saw (and heard) wildlife, too- deer, armadillo, hummingbirds, coyotes... it was amazing!! We are already thinking how great it would be to come back when the weather cools down! The amenities are perfect, too- we made use of the fridge and the oven! The hosts are super nice and although the cabin is fairly close to the main house, we felt like we were on a private country vacation! We loved this place!!

This place is gorgeous,quiet, spacious and comfortable. Truly a home away from home! If I could give more than five stars I would. The property owner was great and very helpful in helping me find the place when I got turned around. The star gazing was perfectly clear and the nature was enchanting.

Amazing Get Away
Wonderful property set on a Christmas Tree Farm. It was a cozy cabin, really clean, and the beds were amazing. The cabin is about 35 minutes from Texas A&M, just far enough to feel like you are really out in the country and it is quiet. Well, it is quiet except for the mooing in the morning from the neighbor cows (I loved it!), as you are on the wrap-around porch drinking your coffee. Although it was a tad warm out to enjoy the fire pit or the BBQ this time around, I am sure in the fall and winter they are amazing. For star gazing, all I can say is wow. Just a word of advice, take your time, slow down, and be in the moment out on this land. You will see the deer grazing and napping. You don't get this in a standard hotel in College Station. The cabin is located behind the main residence, and the communication with the owners was amazing. It is extremely private and quiet. If that is what you are looking for, book it now! Don't hesitate.

My family and I were so thrilled with the space and the ease of everything. Being dog friendly is a bonus because the property is large, beautiful, and well maintained. Hosts answered questions before and during quickly. I’d move in if I could but I will just have to come back for a weekend away from the city. Truly a fantastic, restorative and simple weekend.

About 10 of us stayed for the weekend and really enjoyed the place. It was even better than the pictures! And the price can not be beat! It does not have internet access, which we knew, but we were able to use hotspots for things that we needed. The property owner was very helpful with a water pressure issue and he was able to resolve it quickly. I would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful cabin getaway
We were in the area to visit our daughter at A&M and this was a perfect spot to escape the crowds of parents weekend, while still spending the day and evening with her in CS. We will come back and stay again. It was clean, cute, and quiet. The peaceful view from the porch made our weekend!
