We had a lovely large room with a sea view. The location and views are wonderful. We have visted this hotel several times over many years and were sad to see the deterioration in the dining areas. We paid for breakfast for 2 days but cut our losses and went elsewhere the 2nd day. The breakfast area is like a service station cafe. This is not 4 star. Luke warm buffet food, tea in a mug from a machine and a horrible room. Dining in the evening we had a reasonable meal but no sauvignon blanc and we were told the only option had been chardonnay for some time due to supplier failure. Sad to see the decline in a wonderful hotel. We hope some investment and refurbishment is upcoming. On a positive the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.

"We took an upgrade to a Superior King room, bit warn. Chips in furniture, stains on carpet and chairs. Looked like sesame seeds under glass on night stand. Have stayed here before and had a smaller yet nicer room"
