  • Abercorn is a beautiful, architect-designed country house set on a picturesque farm, surrounded by Mudgee's famous vineyards, only 7 minutes' drive from Mudgee town centre. Spacious, stylish and light-filled interiors and amazing views of the farm and surrounding hills from every window. Detailed personal recommendations for Mudgee provided after you book, and a complimentary bottle of beautiful local wine on arrival.
    Abercorn is not available for wedding ceremonies or receptions.

Everything about our stay at Abercorn was A Communications with our host was engaging, professional and very helpful. The only fault (on our part) was that our stay was a little too short.We can't wait for an opportunity to stay at Abercorn again and enjoy this beautiful home and all it has to offer all over again.

This property was amazing, bedding was so comfy, the kitchen, dining and living rooms were huge. Modern bathrooms such a well thought out design. There were 7 of us and we were all in awe of the property. Thank you Sara for allowing us to stay at your little piece of paradise. I could go on and on

Mudgee Eight

Abercorn was a perfect arrangement for 4 older couples to spend some time together A well set out division between the living area and bedrooms allowed our group to retire if needed or continue conversation and enjoying company in a warm and well appointed living area. The hosts were obliging and the property was spotless. If the 4th bathroom had been adjacent to the bedroom it would rate 5 stars.

Delightful Abercorn

4 couples stayed in this wonderful house. We mostly self catered and all dining needs were met. BBQ oven great for the Christmas in June Turkey!! Indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit made our gathering all the more special.

Love this farm house !

We were here for a wedding in Mudgee and it was wonderful to return to this little piece of paradise after the event.Well appointed, beautifully linens, well stocked kitchen and a lovely ambiance. Complete with belted Galaways in the Paddock outside. Would love to come back and spend a week working my way through the fabulous collection of books on the bookshelves. Hosts have thought of everything.

Gorgeous and peaceful

The house is quaint and in a beautiful setting. Close enough to town for easy access but far enough to feel like you’re in the countryside. It’s very well equipped and the bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful and very comfortable. Sara, our host was lovely, friendly and helpful. We were greeted with a bottle of wine on our arrival and she came to say hi and check on us. She also offered to have the kids feed their cows. We forgot some of our belongings which she kindly posted back to us. Loved our stay and would highly recommend!

Exceeded All Expectations

A trip to Mudgee as our first family holiday with our 6 month old was made all the more special with gorgeous accommodation and an even more accommodating host in Sara. Everything about our stay was perfect from the beautiful home that is Abercorn, to the hospitality of Sara and Matthew. The images don’t do this place justice, from the moment you arrive you feel like you are home, with every detail thought of across the property. We didn’t have the best weather for our stay but that didn’t even matter. Abercorn was the perfect place to snuggle up near the fire, play indoors with our baby, and enjoy a wine or two over a board game. Highly recommend if you’re after a luxurious ‘home away from home’ type of stay with the most hospitable hosts you could hope for!

THE place to stay in Mudgee!

We had the most incredible stay at this stunning house in Mudgee for our wedding weekend. Nestled on a picturesque farm, the property offered everything we needed for a perfect getaway. The house was spacious yet cosy, immaculately clean, and had the ideal layout for our group. One of the highlights was having the bridal party get ready there—the beautiful surroundings made for a breathtaking backdrop for the bride 😊. Sara was an amazing host—super responsive and attentive to all of our questions, making the experience seamless. We had such an amazing time and can't wait to rebook for a family trip in the future!! Wonderful Mudgee Holiday Home Experience!

The home was situated in a very ideal location being very close to town for supplies and being far enough to get the true country experience. The home was well designed with more than enough bathrooms and a very large living area for the children to play. The home was very neat and clean apon arrival and had a wonderful fire pit outside. The property had pet cows for the kids to pat and feed which was a definite highlight for the kids as we are from Sydney suburbia. The property manager was nearby and was able assist with every query I had. The property had plenty of extra towels and amenities which really helped. Overall experience of this property and location is 5/5. I would definitely recommend this wonderful home to friends and family when staying in Mudgee.

Annual catch up with friends

The property was booked for an annual weekend catch up with long term friends dating from our childhood in a small country town. We are now all in our sixties and spread all over NSW and have been booking properties for these catch ups for over 17 years Abercorn is right up there with any we have visited over this time Sara and her husband were accommodating and receptive hosts who were prepared to go that extra mile to ensure our stay was a happy experience.The property was well presented, spotless and exactly as advertised.Would like to see some more outdoor furniture on the patio but this would only be an issue to those that prefer to sit and relax outside, the house itself offer plenty of interaction and relaxing facilities.There is little point complaining about the price, it is expensive, but so is everything else of similar quality since the Covid bubble burst, the demand and market dictate that, and we could not blame the ownersGreat stay Thank you, Sara,
