“We loved Powder House Lodge! I wish we had had more time to spend in the Mount Rushmore area because we definitely wouldn't have minded another night here! It was clean, large, bathroom is updated, and just overall-cute. The bathroom towels/washcloths were thick and there were lots of them. They have a restaurant on the property. We ate dinner there when we arrived and breakfast the next morning. We enjoyed both meals and had very friendly staff. This hotel was a great value for our money……

We arrived and we were greeted by Deb as we were checking the place out before we went to look for our room. Very sweet lady! “The only reason I don’t want to write this review is that I worry our summer timeslot will be filled with other lucky groups.This was our second summer staying at this lodge for our multi-generational family, and it was just as perfect as the first time. “This spot had everything to make my stay comfortable and welcoming. It is the perfect location to explore the area and the room and home was both luxurious and homey feeling all at the same time. Deb and other guests were warm and welcoming to me and my dog and we couldn't have asked for a better setup. We would love to return and would definitely recommend to others!”
