"The house was nestled in the hills, right off a major road, but couldn't be seen from road. Beautiful house, yard, fire pit, back porch. We would stay again and highly recommend to anyone! "The Pondside Lodge was a splendid place to stay for our trip to South Dakota! The lodge is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The living room picture window looks out over the pond and the Needles are clearly visible in the distance. It is a very relaxing location - quiet and lovely. We saw turkeys and deer every day going to and from the lodge. The lodge is a short drive to the Custer Wildlife Loop (spectacular!), the Needles Highway (amazing!), and Sylvan Lake (stunning!). Custer, just a few miles up the road, offers many delicious options for dinner, and the kitchen in the lodge is well-equipped if you want to eat in. I recommend the Pondside Lodge wholeheartedly for a restful vacation!"
