Burgersdorp Vacations from $384

The property was fine however I booked a king room with a sea view and had a partial view with an exterior metal stairway directly in the way. Informed the reception staff on our departure and shown them a picture of the view. We did arrive after dark and didn't realize the view until morning.

This hotel is broadly very good. I was staying in one of its better rooms and everything in the room was pretty good. The staff were excellent, the breakfast is good and the Ginger Restaurant was a real treat. My only criticisms are 1) that there seems to be an issue with their hot water which means it is tinted yellow and sometimes produces sediment. This is only an issue really if you want to take a bath, but given PE and South Africa do have major water supply issues, this isn't the end of the world as the shower was good. Otherwise, the WiFi wasn't strong enough to connect to my rooms smart TV, meaning I couldn't watch Netflix etc without using my phones hotspot. Again, fairly minor. I would happily stay again.

Room fixes. Not followed up, when plugs had no power, asked a few times after initial visit and was told they will fix…putting plugs behind a very heavy sleeping sofa dosen’t function. Where do you put your tablet to work on it, or to charge a phones. Metal furniture and balcony railings can use a coat of paint, it looks terrible to see all the rust and peeling paint. Signing a breakfast bill with the price dosen’t make sense. I was told no you won’t be charged SO WHY am I signing a slip with my name, signature and cost. I ever entered the bar, but had 2 charges on my room, it took all morn8ng, and we had to leave and still not resolved, they got me to sign another bill …very confusing.
