Pros: Good location and a wonderful area
Cons: Needs a revamp, which it is apparently having next year when it becomes a Thomson Gold hotel, adults only so may try that.
Location: Boat trips leave from the beach and accessible from steps in rocks, train travels round the area to site see. Local shops and bars etc 5 minute walk
Hotel was very clean and a good place to stay. Food was of a reasonable to good standard and always something nice to choose from. The fresh fruit on offer was the best I've seen for freshness and quality even better than a 5* which was very nice. Food could have been hotter though. Only local drinks, which is to be expected and they were very nice anyway, so not a problem. Water is €2 in hotel, which is very expensive, so bought at supermarket. Bathroom very tired and towels very thin, but all didn't spoil our stay. Wonderful location and woke up to the sound of the sea each morning. Entertainment of an evening was not bad at all really and better than a lot I've experienced in other places. The Marina is a wonderful place to visit to sit and have a meal and drink and watch the world go by, very nice. Lots of steps and slopes within hotel to beach and sunbathing area, so may not suit people with mobility/health issues.

Great location, worth paying extra for sea view!Posted Oct 15, 2016
Location: Brilliant location right on the edge of beautiful bay, short walk to centre of Cala egos. Plenty of bars, shops and restaurants within easy walk.
Third time staying at Skorpios. What makes this hotel is the location - sea view rooms look directly over the beautiful bay. Only a few minutes walk into centre of Cala Egos, then a bit more of a walk to the marina, and on again into Cala D'or. Very disappointed this year with the limited snacks - much preferred before being able to get more varied snacks, fresher and better quality and choice.

Good Hotel right on BeachPosted Jul 13, 2016 on Ebookers
Pros: I liked the location best,
Cons: I would improve on the standard of the evening entertainment. Changing to adults only 2017 so will definitely have to improve entertainment then.
Location: Take a walk along the coast to see all of the small coves.
This hotel has been built on the edge of one of many small coves in the Cal DI Ore area in this case Cala Egos. On the other side of the cove is its sister hotel. This means the cove feels really private and also offers periods of welcome shade at various times of the day all though you can always find a sunny portion of the beach if that is what you want. The beach itself is cleaned every evening by the hotel staff. The water is warm and takes a while to go out of your depth even for a ten year old child. Lots of fish in the water that encourages amature and professional snorkellers alike. You do have to pay for sun beds on the beach but not in the hotel pool areas one of which is at the head of the beach and is where most of the families base themselves. The other pool is up on the cliff of the Corfu Hotel and tends to attract adults. So all in all the setting is really excellent. Entertainment was okay, kids clubs, various activities during the day for adults, shooting archery, football, pool, darts etc.Evening entertainment was variable with the better nights being when acts were brought in but one of them were questionable. Tended to take a walk to Cala Longa where Cala Di Ore Marina is situated and spend evening in Smugglers bar watching the boats bob up and down. Food was okay for all inclusive although as ever you do get fed up with same scenery whilst eating so the odd night in one of the many restaurants around the Marina may be worth considering.

Excellent situationPosted Jul 12, 2016
Beautiful view from our balcony. Enjoyed the outside shows each evening. Within easy walking distance of the shops and restaurants. Excellent hotel food. Had the choice of beach or pool as both were in the hotel complex. Everywhere kept spotless.

Great hotel and the location is perfect. The food was average but there was always something to eat for everyone. Staff work extremely hard and always have a smile on their face.

uncomfortable and noisyPosted Jun 26, 2016 on Hotels
Arrived late at night and checked in to the nosiest room in the hotel with twin beds instead of a double. We had asked for a quiet room, and was checked in to the room right beside the reception desk and beside the left luggage room. The night manager would not allow us to change rooms at that point so we spent a very restless 6 hours waiting to move first thing in the morning. In the morning there were insects on the floor. Finally we got moved to a room on the 5th floor which was much more adequate. This room was much quieter (although it was beside the elevators) but the balcony was directly above the main entrance which had a lot of traffic with bus tours arriving every few hours. The second room was clean. The beds were very uncomfortable, and daily we woke up with stiff backs or shoulders.

Return visit, but to be the lastPosted Jun 21, 2016
I booked for 3 people. Contacted hotel to change to 2 people, they said it had been changed. Arrived after 30hrs traveling and forced to pay for 3 people even though it was 2 of us. Beach was terrible condition, more like unmixed cement powder. Food was terrible, even a lack of culture. The entertainment in the evening could of easily been rivalled by any street busker, to which the busker would of prevailed. I visited skorpios a few years back and it was fantastic, sadly this time didn't come close. Maybe it all had something to with the creepy manager looking man who patrolled the hotel grounds, morning, noon and night.

Excellent location.Posted Oct 29, 2015
Pros: Location. Friendly reception staff. Ease of access to Cala D'Or. Great sea view from room. Good choice of food, generous drink measures.
Cons: Sun beds should be piled up away from the pool and guests should not have to struggle to lift them and then find a space to lay them down.
Location: Great location near Cala D'Or which is easily accessed by little bus that stops right outside the hotel. Starfish boat trips can be booked at recepti.
Located right on a sandy cove excellent for safe swimming. Easy access to nearby Cala D'Or using the mini shuttle 'train' which stops right outside the hotel. All day snacks from the pool bar and generous measures of spirits in drinks. Disappointed that a charge applies for sun beds on the beach area, when a few steps away nearer the pool they are provided free. However, they get 'reserved' by towels early on, despite signs warning against this. There are beds piled up in areas where it prevents people from using them and you are expected to lift them from the pile yourself then try and find a space to lay it. They are heavy and cumbersome and they would have been better piled up away from the area around the pool, thus allowing that space to be used for beds to be put out for sunbathing. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. They left a bottle of wine in my room as I was a returning guest - a nice touch. The food is not gourmet but is plentiful and offers a choice of hot selections, salads and vegetarian options. There was always soup available and soft drinks, wine, water and beer on tap for you to help yourself. For what I paid it was exactly as I expected, a good value, no frills break in the sun in a great location.
