“We had a comfortable 3 night stay at your River retreat en route to Ohio for the solar eclipse. The weather was unfortunately very cold which restricted our outdoor activities. The cabin was cozy and clean with a very comfortable bed. The only thing missing was a toaster! Thank you.”

What made the trip so memorable was getting recommendations from the owner Amy when she came to the cabin stoking the outside heater that piped in heat to cabin. Cannot over emphasize the need to do research on places to explore while there, because this cabin is in a very rural area. Amy's recommendations on where we should visit meant everything. Quiz her on that. I encouraged her to place in the cabin a list of Must See's / Must……

“The home is lovely. The road to get to the home is a little survey and the road narrows, just an FYI. Only a few issues. With all of the fireplaces / pits, I assumed there would at least have been a starter package of fire wood. A reminder that there isn't would have been helpful due to the roads to get in and out of the location. Also the gas did not have propane, we had to run out and pay for the propane ourselves. This was after I confirmed with the host the grill was in working condition,……

“Easy walking distance to the downtown, a number of restaurants close by and everything was reasonably priced. The host at the Smooth Ambler Distillery was very helpful and informative plus the bourbon was good.”

“Beautiful rustic location on a mountain river. Everything provided for rafting, kayaking, or fishing—or just relaxing and enjoying the views. Perfect location for motorcycle riding the “Back Roads Discovery Route” with winding country roads and challenging Forest Service trails. Easy parking for our trailers. Fire pit to finish off the evenings with a campfire by the river. Great hosts with easy self check in.”

“There was a storm and lost power. They still gave us some of the fruit cups and yogurt. Camped out until power returned. Not their fault, but they made it as pleasant as possible! Good job!”

“This is my second visit to a Home 2 property. The design is updated and the new breakfast is awesome! We were without power until the middle of the night due to a storm. The lobby had a generator where everyone could sit. That was nice. The only complaint I have, and this really doesn't have anything to do with the cleaning staff, is that there was a dirty odor in the room.
