  • Let me preface these discoveries by saying that I ended up in Calella haphazardly. It is not necessarily a town that I would generally recommend. It is not your traditional Spanish/Catalan dream destination. It very much looks like something the 70's spit out and no one ever bothered to clean up. With that said, I freaking love this little freakish town, which I quickly & affectionately nicknamed "The Twilight Zone." The strangest occurrences happened throughout the month, yes MONTH, I lived in Calella. Apparently since the 70's, Calella, was a booming tourist destination for Western Europeans and the British. It has been on a massive decline over the past decade. What's left behind though are some fun Dutch and English/Irish pubs, a small welcoming expat community, and one of the most incredible beaches you will ever lay your eyes on. Beautiful clean white sand for miles and crystal clear turquoise water. Parties & bars on the beach, some free concerts in the summer time and of course drinking it allowed as well. If you happen to find yourself here, you must stop in at Beach Boys Club, tell the owners, Brian & Cathy, that Amber sent you. Then hit up Brian for his secret stash of American imported Budweiser (Did you know the bottled stuff is always produced in country? Brian believes the secrets in the water, so he gets the cans from the US. Brian is British, which makes this little story even better.) Also, be prepared to eat a lot of rotisserie chicken.

Como hotel tengo contradicciociones. Yo lo llamararia el hotel de los recortes, la limpieza se dejó sin ponernos toallas y tuvimos que reclamarlas, tardamos muchísimo en el check in , la chica del comedor lanzaba los manteles a la mesa corriendo y arrastraba mesas y sillas para dar servicio…y todo esto por hacer las mínimas contrataciones y exprimir a lo que hay. Pero por otro lado gracias a estas personas te hacen sentir a gusto son muy atentos dentro de su caos Lo que sí que es para destacar es la comida , poca variedad pero la calidad es buena comparándola con los alrededores . Volvería? No te sé decir, según la oferta supongo

El hotel en sí no está mal, pero a la habitación que nos tocó le faltaba mantenimiento, apenas luz en el lavabo, secador no funcionaba y puerta balconera no cerraba. En la comida había un poco de todo. Creo que no es para 4 estrellas pero para pasar un par de días, es correcto. El personal de lo mejor.

Séjour très agréable, nous étions en demi pension, les repas sont différents et variés chaque jours. Points négatifs un parking à proximité de l’hôtel serait un plus. Il est dommage qu’il n’y ait pas de petit frigo dans les chambres surtout l’été. Sinon rien à redire, personnel agréable, établissement très propre.

La experiencia ha sido pésima en el restaurante del hotel, en la cena de 19:30 a 21:30 . Llegamos a las 21:15 y a las 21:40 apagaron las luces y nos retiraron los platos, sin terminar la cena. Las consumiciones en el bar de noche.... En vasos de plástico. El comportamiento de la jefa del comedor, un cero. Con los clientes, y , con el personal. Las habitaciones sin mando a distancia de las TV. Poca variedad de comidas. Todo el resto , bien. Pero querer pasar un fin de semana, y tener estos contratiempos, no gusta.

The room was fine and the receptionist was pleasant.There was a wide variety of food but it wasn't particularly tasty.The coffee at breakfast was disappointing and the orange juice wasn't fresh orange juice.Having said all this, the price was very reasonable and so I suppose we got what we paid for.

Wir haben 10 Tage im September in diesem Hotel verbracht, unsere Erwartungshaltung bei 72€ die Nacht für 2 Personen inkl. Vollpension: sauberes Zimmer (das A und O), Essen bei diesem geringen Preis durchschnittlich, ein insgesamt durchschnittliches Hotel. Das Zimmer wurde immer vernünftig gesäubert und war in einem guten Zustand. Ich habe bisher nie in Hotels Probleme mit "dünnen" Wänden gehabt, in diesem Fall waren wir aber wirklich genervt. Wir hörten jede Klospülung, selbst den Urinstrahl des Nachbarn, Dusche, Gespräche, einfach alles und auch die Zimmertür war so schlecht isoliert, dass jeder Schritt vom Flur zu hören war. Hier sind Ohrstöpsel zu empfehlen! Ansonsten sind die Zimmer in Ordnung. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle hilfsbereit und sprechen ausreichendes Englisch, halfen immer freundlich weiter und verdienen daher ein Lob. Das Essen dagegen war leider größtenteils eine Katastrophe, trotz unserer geringen Erwartung. Es gab jeden Tag ca. 4-5 Gerichte angerichtet als Buffet, welche leider in der Regel lauwarm waren und in Fett schwimmten. Über Geschmack lässt sich streiten, unser war es leider nicht (und die Leute die wir getroffen haben waren auch nicht begeistert). Der "live Koch" hat das Essen gerettet, hier hat man die Wahl aus 4 Fischsorten und 4 Fleischsorten, die dann direkt gebraten werden. Das war für 10 Tage mit den Pommes unser Essen... Fazit: wer kein Gourmet ist und einen günstigen Urlaub bucht ist hier richtig, sollte aber Ohrstöpsel mitnehmen

Fattar inte att detta fått 4 stjärnor det är på sin höjd låga 3, Frukosten var bedrövlig torrt bröd och inte kontinental frukost, Lösa kakelplattor i badrummet kalkavlagringar på munstycket i duschen Sa till om städning städade inte... Inte ens färsk juice utan i maskin... Äggen låg och simmade i något spa på en bricka halv kalla. Om ni ska till Calella ta något av dom andra hotellen 4 stjärniga ner mot havet istället för detta. Låg off upp mot berget tog inte jättelång tid att gå ner men ändå.

Très bon hôtel

Les chambres sont propres. Seul bémole, la clim envoi une légère odeur. Le personnel est très sympa et font de leur mieux pour parler français. l'hôtel est équipé d'une piscine. L'hôtel est plutôt bien situé. Il n'est pas très loin de la pplage et du centre ville.

Jeg synes vi fikk mye for pengene. Hotellet lå i et område som hadde lite støy. Byen var ren og pen og stranden var kjempeflott !! Vi kommer gjerne tilbake.

Good location and helpful staff

Good location for our requirements - a 5 night stay. Desk staff very helpful. Rooms kept clean; we found the bed hard - suppose pretty normal for Spain! We had breakfast and evening meal - reasonable choice and very good value for money, with excellent service. Would use again if needed for one or two nights only, as it seems this hotel is used for large groups of teenagers - not rowdy or badly behaved but they take over the pool area - we did not get to use at all - and the (very small) reception area.

Mooi hotel met ruime kamers

Net modern hotel, met mooie kamers. Ruime bedden en inloopdouche. Genoeg kastruimte aanwezig en een koelkastje. Eten is prima, afwisselend en voor ieder wat wils. Ontbijt is uitgebreid. All inclusive formule was goed. Tussen de maaltijden door kon je nog wat snacks zoals broodje worst/hamburger of tosti krijgen. Hotel ligt op een heuvel.

This is an ultra modern hotel with no real reception area. The grey and black theme of the rooms make them very depressing. We visited a number of lesser star rated hotels that had lovely big reception areas and a better atmosphere.

Nuevo, habitacion amplia y desayuno muy correcto

En general muy nuevo, personal muy agradable y desayuno correcto. Lo unico malo fue la cantidad de familias con niños, bastante maleducados corriendo y gritando por todos los pasillo. Aunque supongo que eso es mas bien la mala educacion de los padres.

Hôtel 4 **** neuf très correct d'apparence mais un service minimum...!!! Clients de l'hôtel hyper bruyant après 23h00 Oubli de faire la chambre pendant 2 jours consécutif. Chien qui aboie.(toujours le même) Restaurant de l'hôtel ok avec un choix raisonnable petit déjeuner et repas ,mais les chemins de table (papier résistant perforé )jamais changés mais retourné donc hyper dégoûtant de voir des traces d'aliments séchés dessus surtout sur de la couleur noir. Dans cet hôtel tout est fait pour les résidents espagnols et les anglophone malheureusement rien pour le français(même si c'est à nous de nous adaptez au pays qui nous accueil ) mais 4**** le français c'est un minimum. Globalement assez dessus du nombre d'étoile de cet hôtel je ne pense pas qu'en France se serai possible d'avoir une tel prestation dans un hôtel 4 ****. Plus d'attention pour le client surtout en période base saison serai mieux.
