Big, spacious rooms with a youthful vibe. There is a living room and a bedroom. Very thematic with “up” branding everywhere. New decor, proximity to an amazing seafood restaurant and the beach. Easy parking access for 12 euros. The breakfast was decent, but not buffet style so it takes a while to be served. The town itself was a bit dead when we came in March. The location accessibility by car was so-so, narrow roads and pretty cramped.

Good stay -facilities good

It’s a nice old-school hotel which is centrally located between the train station and the old town so ticked all boxes for us. Room was well appointed and dark when it mattered, bed was comfortable and A/C worked well. Only negative is that the mini bar was filled with items that auto charge to your account once you move them, so you can’t fit much of your own personal items in the fridge.

Modern hotel on the outskirts of Bologna. You would need a car but this hotel has safe, free parking and is just a few minutes' from the airport. (There are no obvious petrol stations at the airport so fill up the night before if you have booked full to full.) It was a modern, clean room with a 'minibar' type fridge and range of toiletries. They changed the sheets each day. I did book in advance but it cost about £70 for 2 nights B&B for 2 in a double room. Breakfast was very good, help yourself and a full choice of cereals, sweet cakes, croissants, fruit, a hot choice (boiled eggs and frankfurter type sausage) and a drinks machine offering all the types of coffee and hot chocolate. Took about 10 - 15 minutes to get into the centre of Bologna. Parking in the centre is difficult and quite expensive so it was good to have free overnight parking at the hotel. Pleasant staff and service. Great value basic hotel to stay at before going to the airport. No dining facilities in the evening.

Unfortunately, this was the most disappointing hotel stay of our vacation through France, Spain, and Italy. We booked one night here before our early morning flight to London, expecting a comfortable place to rest. Upon entering Room #306, we immediately found that the air conditioning was not working despite temperatures of around 90°F (32°C). We also noticed two portable fans already in the room, suggesting the hotel was aware of the issue before our arrival. The room also had a strong musty odor. We reported the problem immediately and asked to be moved to any available room with working air conditioning, even if it meant our family of four sharing a smaller room. The front desk initially questioned whether the AC was actually broken, but after inspecting the room themselves, they confirmed it was not functioning. Unfortunately, there was no maintenance available, and no alternative room was offered. What made the experience even more disappointing was the lack of empathy. Instead of understanding our situation, the lady manager on duty responded with an ungracious attitude and an unpleasant stare, leaving us feeling like our concerns were an inconvenience. With an early flight the next morning, we had no choice but to book another hotel at our own expense and pay for an additional taxi. This was the only hotel during our entire vacation that failed to provide the basic accommodations we had reserved. Sadly, we cannot recommend this property based on our experience.
