"Situated in the countryside away from the main roads , Alle Scuole is a great place to stay - it even has an elevator ! The manager waited for us just a little after 9pm (which was the limit for the check in timing) and we highly appreciate that gesture The room was very clean and quiet, and we loved the decor (plus the banana bread!) "The staff was very helpful, we were going to miss the 11pm check in deadline because of a train delay, the staff stayed until 1130 for us to make sure we had a place to stay. Also, we had trouble getting a taxi for our cruise and the staff found a way to get us there. Very helpful, very nice. One room for 8 people was great too. We were able to keep our family together in one room. Would stay again"

"The hotel was excellent! The room was nicer than we expected. The breakfast was also very good. The restaurant however was a letdown. It was charming and the service was good but I ordered pasta with mussels and it was inedible. I am not a food snob by any means and I will eat almost anything but the meal was so salty that I forced myself to eat a portion of it because I was really hungry. The pasta was really salty the broth had no flavour other than salt and the mussels also were super salty and otherwise tasteless. Probably the worst pasta dish i have ever been served. Too bad because as a Canadian coming to Italy my expectations were a little higher. I told the server than it was not good and I actually expected them to not charge me for it but they did , and I imagine the server never told the cook ( I would say chef but that would be a huge exaggeration). Therefore I am writing this review because it was terrible . My wife’s dish was okay , but not great. Our friends fish was good although it came with nothing but fish , so on a scale of 10 I would give the restaurant a 3."

"The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. The hallways were quiet at night without any appreciable noise. Some of the staff were very friendly and others were less so. The complimentary breakfast was ok. Their laundry service was very good. The parking was a bit tight in the front of the hotel. Overall, it was a good hotel and definitely one of the better ones in the area."
