Also, the lights in the entryway didn't turn on when I clicked the switch; I tried several times and never got them to turn on. It was extremely dark climbing the stairs and felt unsafe. "My room had character and a great view of the Abbey. It did get warm and it was not obvious how to open the windows. The building is old and that is reflected in the rooms and the multi-flight access to anything. Back door to the ramparts was a bonus. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was filling with breads, crepes, fruits, eggs, cheese and meats. Stay was pleasant."
