Car Rental Brasília

Once you've ticked off the well-known sights in Brasília, there's a lot more to see in the region. Grab the keys to a rental car, toss your bags in the trunk and hit the road. These are some road trips we know you'll enjoy:

• Curitiba is approximately 55 miles from Brasília. Famous tourist spots like Barigui Park deserve to be at the top of your list while you're in town.
• Why not enjoy the wonders of Florianópolis too? Popular sights in this colorful city include Mole Beach. Florianópolis is about 110 miles from Brasília.
• Garopaba Beach is approximately 130 miles from Brasília and is one of the region's most breathtaking nature spots. Go for a wander around and enjoy the fresh air.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Brazil, then it's likely you'll need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. Please also consider that if an IDP is required, it won't be valid on its own. You'll be asked to show your current license your passport and other forms of ID as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card you used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your license and passport. Some added requirements for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You'll need to be at least 25 in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it might still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of cars you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the rules and regulations before getting behind the wheel. You typically can't cross country borders, drive on ferries or on certain types of rugged terrain with a rental vehicle.
