There's so much to do in Docklands, but venture farther afield and you'll find even more magic. Organize a set of wheels and you can roam around the surrounding area at your own speed. Add these awesome drives to your itinerary:

• Head off to Ballarat for an excellent sightseeing adventure. Roughly 60 miles from Docklands, it's home to numerous inspiring sights like Sovereign Hill.
• Around 80 miles away, Bendigo is also popular with travelers. Allow time to get to Bendigo Art Gallery while you're in town. It's one of the reasons people love visiting this vibrant city.
• Visit Mount Hotham for a day out in nature. Pack a picnic to enjoy or just chill out in the fresh air. From Docklands, it's roughly 130 miles away.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Australia, then you may need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be able to rent a car.
