Car Rental Driver

Once you've checked out all of the interesting places in Driver, there's loads more to see in the surrounding area. Pick up the keys to a rental car, stow your bags in the trunk and hit the open road. We've pulled together some road trips we know you'll love:

• Kakadu is around 110 miles from Driver. Popular tourist attractions like Yellow Water Billabong deserve to be high on your must-see list while you're in town.
• Around 50 miles away, Point Stuart is also popular with travelers. Make sure you experience Mary River National Park while you're here. It's one of the reasons people love this vibrant city.
• Nitmiluk National Park is about 150 miles from Driver and is one of the region's most beautiful nature spots. Go for a wander around and enjoy the fresh air.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Australia, then you might need to acquire an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country in order to rent a car. Please also consider that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll be asked to show your driver's license from your home country your passport and other forms of documentation as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your license and passport. Some added requirements to rent a car internationally are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be 25 or older in most places to rent a car. If you're younger, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles available to rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the rules and regulations before you drive away. Usually, you can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or on off-road areas with your rental car.
