There are lots of things to see and do in Gangnam-gu, but head farther afield and you'll find more sightseeing magic. Grab a set of wheels and you can roam around the surrounding region at your own pace. Add these fantastic destinations to your to-do list:

• You'll find Jeonju Hanok Village and lots more amazing sights in Jeonju. From Gangnam-gu, it's about 120 miles away.
• Located 100 miles away, Gangneung is also a hit with travelers. Be sure to get to Jeongdongjin Beach while you're here. It's one of the reasons people love staying a while in this city.
