Car Rental Good Hope

Once you've checked out all of the fabulous attractions in Good Hope, there's loads more to explore in the surrounding region. Pick up the keys to a rental car, toss your luggage in the trunk and hit the road. We've pulled together some road trips you're sure to love:

• Head off to Worcester for a fun-filled sightseeing experience. Around 70 miles from Good Hope, it has loads of cool sights, including Golden Valley Casino.
• Your next stop? It has to be Wellington, which is around 50 miles away. Doolhof Wine Estate is one local draw card you really shouldn't miss.
• De Hoop Nature Reserve is about 130 miles from Good Hope and is one of the region's most gorgeous nature spots. Stretch your legs and enjoy the fresh air here.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in South Africa, then it's likely you'll need to acquire an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country to be allowed to rent a car. You should also note that if an IDP is required, it has no validity on its own. You'll have to show your driver's license from your home country your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card you used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your driver's license and passport. A few other things to note for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be 25 or over in most countries to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles available to rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the fine print before driving away. Typically, you can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or on certain types of rugged terrain with a rental car.
