Car Rental Hiroo

Hiroo is full of surprises, but don't restrict yourself to just one place. Grab a set of wheels and take to the road to see what's in the wider region. We've pulled together these great options:

• Make your way to Ito for a fantastic sightseeing experience. Approximately 60 miles from Hiroo, it's home to lots of inspiring sights, including Izu Oceanic Park.
• Next stop? Make it Nagano, which is around 110 miles away. Nagano Olympic Stadium is one local highlight you won't want to miss.
• Spend time in the great outdoors and inhale the fresh air at Shirotori Garden. You'll find it about 160 miles from Hiroo.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Japan, then you'll likely need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country to be allowed to rent a car. You should also note that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll be asked to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of documentation as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card you used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your driver's license and passport. A few other things to note for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You'll need to be 25 or over in most places to rent a car. If you're younger, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of cars you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the rules and regulations before sliding behind the wheel. You typically can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or on off-road areas with a rental car.
