There's heaps to do in Mariahoeve, but venture farther afield and you'll find more sightseeing magic. Rent a set of wheels and you can roam around the surrounding area at your own speed. Add these awesome places to your to-do list:

• You'll discover Grote Markt and loads of other interesting sights in Groningen. From Mariahoeve, it's about 120 miles away.
• Roughly 100 miles away, Maastricht is also a favorite with wanderers. Make sure you take in St. Servaas Church while you're in town. It's one of the reasons people love this vibrant city.
• Get out into nature and take in the serenity at Schiermonnikoog National Park. It's about 120 miles from Mariahoeve.
