Car Rental Mendoza

Once you've covered all the amazing sights in Mendoza, there's a lot more to see in the region. Pick up the keys to a rental car, throw your luggage in the trunk and get out on the open road. These are some drives you're sure to enjoy:

• San Sebastián is roughly 50 miles from Mendoza. Famous sights like Monte Igueldo deserve to be at the top of your list while you're in town.
• Around 60 miles away, Burgos is also popular with travelers. Be sure to get to Burgos Cathedral while you're here. It's one of the reasons people love visiting this buzzing city.
• Get into nature and appreciate the serenity at Ordesa Y Monte Perdido National Park. You'll find it around 140 miles from Mendoza.

If you don't possess a driver's license issued in Spain, then it's likely you'll need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. Also consider that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll need to show your current license your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card you used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your driver's license and passport. Some other requirements to rent a car internationally are:

• Age restrictions: You'll need to be at least 25 in most places to rent a car. If you're younger, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Make sure you read the fine print before you drive off the lot. Typically, you can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or on off-road areas with a rental car.
