Car Rental Panamá

There's loads to do in Panamá, but head farther afield and you'll find even more magic. Book a set of wheels and you can wander around the greater area at your leisure. Add these awesome drives to your list:

• Head off to Dourados for a fun-filled sightseeing experience. Roughly 120 miles from Panamá, it's home to many cool attractions, including Nossa Senhora da Imaculada Conceicao Cathedral.
• Next stop? It has to be Sidrolandia, which is around 40 miles away. Fazenda Piana is one local highlight you shouldn't miss.
• Find your way to Blue Lake Cave to discover some local nature. Pack a picnic to enjoy or just chill out in the fresh air. From Panamá, it's roughly 130 miles away.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Brazil, then you may need to acquire an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country in order to rent a car. It's also important to note that if an IDP is required, it won't be valid on its own. You'll have to show your driver's license from your home country your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card you used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your driver's license and passport. Some other things to note for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You'll need to be 25 or over in most places to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it might still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of cars you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Be sure to read the fine print before getting behind the wheel. You typically can't cross country borders, drive on ferries or go off-roading with a rental vehicle.
