After you've visited all of the amazing places in Portales, there's loads more to explore in the surrounding area. Grab the keys to a rental car, toss your luggage in the trunk and take to the open road. Here are some road trips you're sure to enjoy:

• Cuernavaca is around 30 miles from Portales. Well-known sights like Cuauhnahuac Regional Museum deserve to be high on your must-see list here.
