There's so much to do in San Roque, but venture farther afield and you'll find more sightseeing magic. Arrange a set of wheels and you can wander around the surrounding area at your own speed. Add these fantastic destinations to your travel schedule:

• Ambato is roughly 70 miles from San Roque. Renowned tourist attractions like Mall of the Andes should be at the top of your list while you're in town.
• Your next pit stop? It has to be Esmeraldas, which is around 110 miles away. Malecón Las Palmas is one local highlight you really shouldn't miss.
