Car Rental Santa Fé

After you've ticked off the terrific places in Santa Fé, there's a lot more to see in the region. Pick up the keys to a rental car, stow your luggage in the trunk and hit the road. We've pulled together some drives you're sure to enjoy:

• Head to Santa Maria for an excellent sightseeing adventure. About 100 miles from Santa Fé, it has lots of great sights such as Royal Plaza Shopping.
• Your next pit stop? Make it Passo Fundo, which is around 100 miles away. Bella Citta Shopping Center is one local hot spot you really shouldn't miss.
• Make your way to Itaipu Dam for a day out in nature. Pack a picnic to enjoy or just relax and unwind. From Santa Fé, it's about 200 miles away.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Brazil, then you'll likely need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country in order to rent a car. It's also important to note that if an IDP is required, it has no validity on its own. You'll have to show your driver's license from your home country your passport and other forms of ID as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card you used to book the rental matches the name on your driver's license and passport. Some additional requirements for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You must be at least 25 in most places to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it might still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of vehicles you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Be sure to read the fine print before driving away. With rental cars, you usually can't cross country borders, drive on ferries or on certain types of rugged terrain with a rental car.
