Car Rental Sector L

When you've covered all the well-known places in L, there's loads more to see in the region. Collect the keys to a rental car, pack your bags in the trunk and hit the road. We've pulled together some road trips we think you'll enjoy:

• You'll find Zocalo Square and many more amazing attractions in Oaxaca. From L, it's approximately 100 miles away.
• Why not check out everything on offer in Salina Cruz too? Notable sights here include Salina Cruz Lighthouse. Salina Cruz is around 70 miles from L.
• Get out into the great outdoors and take in the serenity at Canon del Sumidero National Park. You'll find it about 220 miles from L.

If you don't have a driver's license issued in Mexico, then you may need to acquire an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. It's also important to note that if an IDP is required, it won't be valid on its own. You'll have to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of identification as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card you used to book the rental matches the name on your driver's license and passport. Some additional requirements for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You must be at least 25 in most places to rent a car. If you're younger than that, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to what kinds of cars you can rent.
• Driving limitations: Be sure to read the fine print before sliding behind the wheel. You typically can't cross country borders, drive onto ferries or on certain types of rugged terrain with your rental car.
