Shaoxing City Center offers adventures galore, but don't restrict yourself to just the one place. Rent some wheels and hit the road to explore the wider area. Here are some great options:

• Head to Shanghai for an excellent sightseeing adventure. Around 100 miles from Shaoxing City Center, it's home to many inspiring attractions, including The Bund.
• Roughly 70 miles away, Jinhua is also popular with travelers. Set aside time to check out Yiwu International Trade City while you're here. It's one of the reasons people love staying a while in this colorful city.
• Make your way to Huangshan Mountains for a day out in nature. Pack a picnic to enjoy or just sit and unwind. From Shaoxing City Center, it's around 150 miles away.

If you don't possess a driver's license issued in China, then you might need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your home country to be able to rent a car. It's also important to note that if you do need an IDP, it won't be valid on its own. You'll need to show your driver's license from your home country your passport and other forms of documentation as well.
