Once you've checked out all of the well-known attractions in Trujillo, there's a lot more to discover in the surrounding region. Collect the keys to a rental car, throw your bags in the trunk and get out on the open road. Here are some road trips we think you'll love:

• Make tracks to Santa Rosa de Cabal for an excellent sightseeing adventure. Roughly 80 miles from Trujillo, it's home to numerous great attractions like Santa Rosa de Cabal Hot Springs.
