We stayed at this gem of a pub on the way to Scotland. The staff are all super friendly and helpful too. The pub has excellent quality food and wines too. My husband had the steak pie, I had the fish and Chips both were outstanding. We liked it so much we booked for the following week on our way back. They are really dog friendly too! There is a beautiful dog walk around the village. Also there is a field right off the car park which is fabulous to let your dog run loose. The breakfast was superb and nothing was too much trouble. Coffee was delicious too! Many Thanks The Tates.

Was excellent for a one night stop over breaking a 9hour drive, providing everything required clean with good food in the restaurant and an excellent breakfast.

We had a one night stay on our way upto Scotland. Great location for some walking in the Eden Valley and Wetheral is a lovely village. Our room was fine and the food very good. The staff were excellent. Hotel is a little tired in places but have no other negative comments.

Lovely stay
Spent 2 nights at the Queens. It’s a small pub/hotel with 5 rooms. The rooms were comfortable nicely decorated and clean. The restaurant was comfortable and food was good. The pub had a nice wood fire and the staff were very friendly.

Nice village type pub very welcoming nice staff good food and drinks. The bedroom was very large lovely large bed a nice room. A few small items in the room need attention, toilet seat very loose, dressing table chair worn and broken springs. Overall a very nice stay.

Did miss a front desk approach but were nevertheless dealt with satisfactorily. The place was spotless, bedroom good size and the comfiest beds we have ever slept in. Good choice for breakfast, we didnt have a meal that evening but were assured by fellow guests that it was amazing.
