“Overall we loved it, though it would have been good to know that you can't drive to the hotel if you don't have a proper 4WD as it is located at the end of a long and steep tarished road. Luckily the hotel offers an transport service for the dirty road between 8am and 5pm. They also offer food(preorder only) and drinks at the bar. The staff was very nice and always helpful. Our favourite was the weekday driver. The cottage had a very nice kitchen unfortunately not much utensils in it... Being so...

“I would suggest that they upgrade to elevators. Walkin up those small steps /stairs with your luggage was inconvenient. The locks on the door were outdated and hard to open. But it seems safe. Clean room, comfy bed and fresh towels was available. The hotel room was just like in the picture .”

![Although his bakery stand is new, Daniel Frederick still employs traditional techniques in crafting his delicious cassava bread.  Fresh ground manioc is mixed with coconut, sugar and water to form a dense, flat bread similar to a thick pancake.  The coconut and sugar add a touch of sweetness that makes this bread addictive.  

The bakery is over in the Kalinago Territory on the east coast, so it's a bit of a trip if you're staying in Roseau.  But if you're visiting the Kalinago Village it's worth a stop, and you can also hit it up on your way to/from the airport.
