Fun to see where locals buy their fish & produce
This is absolutely fantastic. One of the very best things we did in Catania. For anyone who likes food, fish, markets ---- this is fantastic.
I do not like fish market sights or smells, but much of this market is fruits, vegetables, meats and cheeses, and lots of wonderful local specialties. The best fresh squeezed orange juice!
After visiting Amenano Fountain, make a plan to see the other sights and activities in Catania. While in this culturally rich area, find time to visit its shops.
Contemplate the legends associated with the symbol of Catania, which sits on an intricately carved fountain in the center of a lively old town square.
Elegant fountains, a superb cathedral and fine shopping and dining make Catania’s main square a great place to spend some time.
You’ll see stunning artwork, Roman ruins and fine Baroque architecture when you visit the centerpiece of Catania’s main square.
Learn about the local history of Catania when you spend time at Via Crociferi. Visit the shops in this walkable area, or simply enjoy its restaurants.
