"Great base for exploring the area. A dark sky area so perfect for looking at the stars in the evening. We generally explored during the day and cooked our meals in the evening."

"The property has a great location. Staff were very friendly and spoke English. Bed and linens were very comfortable!"

"Our party of five adults had a great two weeks here. The photos don't do it justice. Shepperd, the caretaker, was very helpful in terms of anything about the house as well as providing useful background on things in the area. The house is a bundle of romance, with lots of places to come together and to be apart: the pool (slightly on the small side for games - but plenty big for a cooling dip), the garden (perfect for mid-morning tea or to get out of the sun in the afternoon), the dining space just outside the kitchen (we had breakfast there every day and supper most evenings), "the tent" - a covered area near the house that's perfect for end of day drinks, and of course the great room (we played games on the enormous wooden table most nights). It was a bit dusty in places and if you are a total clean freak this might not be for you. And there are spiders. The village has some pretty walks and a local honey seller. The church, just across the road, looks like a fortress, and inside is lovely. The bells ring out the time night and day, and quickly become part of the charm. If you are worried they might keep you awake - don't. Local shopping is a bit limited but adequate, and there is a weekly producers market in the nearest town during the summer. A fair amount of things to do and see relatively nearby. Examples: Cahors (check out the bridge), Rocamadour, and my favourite from this trip: Saint-Cirq-Lapopie. Also, kayaking and canoeing: Kalapca Loisirs was great fun."

"Such a charming place to stay. My family and 2 others (13 in total) had such a lovely time here. A well-stocked/equipped kitchen (inc sharp knives AND a knife sharpener!). Lots of outdoor space for games, eating and relaxing - with a lovely round table and rotating centre to eat at that's great for minimising the "can you pass me the..." questions! The pool is cooling but not cold and west-facing for the evening sun. And it's quiet, but for the sounds of church bell in the distance. Michael the owner was really communicative and helpful, lovely to deal with. We wanted for nothing, c'etait genial!"

"We had a lovely time in a very clean, comfortable, modern hotel with a warm and friendly welcome. The big surprise was the quality of the food at the hotel restaurant which meant we arrived after a long trip and didn't need to get back out to Figeac to eat out. We would definitely return if we are anywhere in the area."
