Cayo Caracoles

Loved our stay, I spent New Year’s Eve and around the property lots of fireworks did not have to go out. Great communication! I’m local and would definitely come back. Stayed with my family we are four. Very cozy and clean.

This property is STUNNING! The rooms, the views, everything about it is beautiful. The staff is absolutely the best staff I’ve ever had at a resort and they go above and beyond. The downside to this resort is the food. There is only 1 spot to get coffee (at the Market) and 3/5 of my days it took more than 20 mins to get a coffee and no lids. Also, the food at the pool is not great. Lots of burgers and fries, the salad option is okay but could be better and is overpriced for what it is. The fruit is very basic, it’s honeydew and melon with a piece of watermelon on top. Not worth it. I also went to the Sand Bar, waited 45 minutes for my drinks and food, there was only 1 server and the restaurant was full. Nectar wasn’t awful, but their menu is all over the place and the food was good but not great. Nori was a great restaurant so I recommend that but you have to book a reservation a few days in advance which is a downside. It feels like there isn’t enough restaurants on the property to be able to accommodate all of the guests. Also, I left the resort to get healthy twice since the gift shop snacks weren’t healthy. They need healthier food!! I don’t mind having a burger and fries once or twice but I was NOT going to do that for 5 days. The pools are very nice and spacious. The only downside is the daybeds are dirty. I put towels down and it was fine. Overall, I feel like the resort is 3.5/5.

I enjoyed my stay tremendously. I’ll be back for sure!
