Tranquil waterfront cottage in Central Lake

This cherished family lakefront cottage is nestled in the most cozy setting with private dock and gorgeous peaceful section of the lake. Drop the kayaks right into the water and have the most peaceful boat ride. With 107 feet of private lakefront access with sandy beach at the inlet to Intermediate Lake you can't ask for much more! Enjoy coffee on the beautiful deck or lakeside sunroom or on the front veranda under the trees. Access your boat right from the private dock and travel all along the chain O lakes. Ride your bikes just 5 minutes down the road to the lovely Central Lake Village for ice cream at Fudgee's or drink at the distillery. Great location for winter sports as well at 17 minutes from Schuss Mountain and approx 20 min from Boyne. Nearby ice fishing and snowmobiling. The cottage is cozy, quiet and comfortable and is on a beautiful and peaceful street with great neighbors. Quiet culdesac safe for kids to ride their bikes You will fall in love with the tranquility and the beauty of this home and property!

Great location in a quiet neighborhood
We enjoyed our stay on pretty Hanley Lake. We did not do as much kayaking as planned due to weather, but visited nearby Glacial Hills mt. biking trail system numerous times. We also biked around the lake several times. The cottage was clean, very adequate, and the owner a fantastic communicator. Thanks Jennifer!

August Family Vacation
Since some of our family members had a great experience renting this house in December, we rented it for our bi-annual family vacation. The house and location were perfect! The property owners were excellent to work with. We were blessed with beautiful weather and were able to enjoy water play, fishing in the lake, and touring Central Lake and East Jordan.

Perfect Northern Michigan Location
Fourth year in a row we stayed at this cottage. Just as good as the previous years. Nice quiet lake and easily accessible to intermediate lake for more recreational activities. New owners had some nice upgrades. Hope to stay there again!

Wonderful stay in this cozy and quaint waterfront cottage!
Our family had the most wonderful summer vacation at this beautiful cottage. The house was cozy and clean with more than enough room and amenities for our family of 5. The property was beautiful and the location was perfect. Plenty to do in the surrounding areas. We had a wonderful time fishing off of the dock and caught plenty of fish. All in all, it was a great rental and we'd definitely be interested in returning. Thank you for sharing your vacation home with our family. Great memories were made!

Winter Getaway
We loved our winter stay here. This house was cozy, nicely laid out, well organized, and was on a lovely, quiet street. The house had everything we needed. We came up for a winter weekend getaway after Christmas with our 4 kids (teenage to young 20-something). There was plenty of room for us all. The weather was warmer than we expected, but we were still able to do some winter activities. We went ice skating in Traverse City and the boys went skiing at the near by Shanty Creek Resort. Traverse City was close enough for a trip to Costco -who can go without Costco (Ha Ha) and a pit stop for craft supplies for the girls at Hobby Lobby - Barefoot Nook is not too far from anything you might want or need. One day we walked downtown Central Lake and visited a few shops and later stopped in the conveniently located local grocery store to pick up a few things for baking -the grocery store was charming and reminded me of the small town grocery store I frequented as a child when visiting my grandma. On New Year’s Eve we enjoyed a fire in the fireplace, played board games, watched football and then watched some of the neighbor’s fireworks near midnight- that was a fun surprise! We enjoyed our stay. They had a large pantry in the kitchen that we filled with foodies we had brought from home. The host was terrific (great communication), everything was easy to find in the house, and the whole process of staying and checking out was very straight forward. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect family getaway!
Our family of 8 enjoyed our time at this house. My father uses a walker and was able to get around the house easily. He also had the master bedroom with a private bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make meals. We were very thankful for the coffee they had because we forgot to bring it! We had questions answered quickly and we plan to go back in the summer! Thank you for providing us a great place to stay. We look forward to enjoying the lake and other summer amenities!

Great communication with new owners, clean, very well appointed. Very comfortable! If you have never been to Central Lake Chain of Lakes you will love it. This home is in a very private area - its lovely. Seriously has it all!
