The garage doors from the roadside were originally built up to allow a horse and cart to pull alongside and unload fruit straight into the building and the attached rooms were originally the workshop. The press is still in situ although it hasn’t worked in many years. The Gite has a modern feeling with an open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room, separate bedroom and bathroom and overlooks farmland towards the East benefiting from the early morning sunshine. My dad and his friend have built some platforms in the trees, and from mid-October to mid-November they go there every morning to shoot migrating birds.
