"Amazing!! Location is perfect, easy walk to shops, restaurants and other historic attractions. Pool and bar are fantastic!! Bed was super comfy, room spacious and the shower has great water pressure which can be a problem in some hotels. On site coffee shop a definite plus for me as a coffee lover. I must give a huge shout out to Chelsea at the front desk. She went above and beyond!! This girl is a gem!! Highly recommend The Ryder!!"

"Our first time in Charleston, and staying at The Charleston Place was the best choice. This hotel is located in an ideal location for dining, shopping and sight seeing. We only took an Uber to and from the airport (about 20 minutes). The hotel is beautiful, clean and pays attention to detail. The nightly turn down service was a nice touch. Highly recommend this hotel!! We will be back!"

"We enjoyed our stay immensely. We’re locals who wanted to do a stay-cation. First time staying in a hotel downtown Chas. Our houses are right around the corner! Next time we stay we’ll get a room by the pool with the cute gates and patios. The staff is always great. We’ve ate many times at the Iron rose and Brian is an absolute gem. We get him as our waiter every time and can’t say enough good things. "

"My husband and I loved this hotel! It was cozy, clean, well maintained, decorated beautifully and included all of the perfect little touches that set it above most others. We enjoyed having the little breakfast bags delivered to our door each morning, as well as the turn down service each evening, complete with treats to wind down our day. There were always snacks in the lobby, and candies scattered around the hotel. We were offered a free bottle of wine or champagne upon our arrival as well as convenient valet parking. The in-house art gallery was filled with beautiful work from their resident artist, which we enjoyed during an afternoon walk. The staff was phenomenal! Everyone we met was friendly, helpful and always willing to accommodate with reservations or other needs. The location was perfect, right in the downtown area near restaurants and shops as well as the waterfront and fountains.If you have younger children you might prefer a more casual hotel with a pool, as this hotel is more appealing to adults seeking a quiet getaway. We will not hesitate to stay here again next time we are in Charleston!"
