Chauffour-sur-Vell Castle Hotels

Bernadette was an excellent host. Family of 4 was very comfortable in two adjoining rooms. Rooms and bathrooms have all been renovated with modern amenities . Beds were very comfortable. Host asked us the night before when we would like breakfast, her suggestion for 9:00 am was perfect time. Fresh pastries ( all homemade) yogurt, jams, juice and coffee and chocolate milk for kids, were all ready for us. We enjoyed talking to Bernadette about our travels during breakfast. Property was spacious...

The host was very friendly and helpful. The room is nicely decorated and cleans with very comfortable mattress and pillows. Sadly, we didn't get a chance to use the pool, as it is only open from 4pm to 7pm.

We arrived late afternoon and were greeted first by Tokay, the owners' cute lical dog, then by the proprietor who, after rhe usual introduction. asked if we would want dinner and outlined thr menu. When I told him that ine of us was a vegetarian. he immediatel proposed a meatless dish, since he was also rhe chef. The auberge is somewhat isolated, but you can take an enjoyabe walk up the country road that faces the inn toget a sense of rural French life. It is also not far from the medieval...

Amazing property in a wonderful setting. Wonderful restaurant on site and a welcome staff. We will be back!

The staff were amazing!!! I booked at the last minute at 11:00pm and didn’t make it to the hotel tilll past midnight. She waited for me to check me. Really nice of her and she was very welcoming

Truly an amazing place to stay. If you want to stay in a very old hotel, you will not be able to beat this, maybe 800-900 years old? They have put a lot of effort into updating this place to make it work as a hotel. The only effort that was lacking (maybe my view because I'm American) was that the room didn't have AC. Also, there were no screens in the windows, so when opened them, we attracted bugs. We were there during a very hot week in the south of France. We brought our own fans (they...

Charming property with great charm and character in the middle of a beautiful village. We came for a wedding at the Abbey, which was steps away from the hotel. We had a clean room with a comfortable bed and separate toilet and shower room. Bathroom was basic but clean and the room rates are extremely reasonable, especially considering it was high season. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is excellent and we were very glad to have it, as there are not many dining options in...

This property is located a short driving distance from l’Hospitalat and Rocamadour in a beautiful country setting, quiet and quaint. The staff was very helpful. Mathieu was very friendly and he welcomed us when we arrived and provided a very accurate description on where and how to go for dinner and to the main attractions. He was always available for any questions. Breakfast was just perfect every day, good variety and delicious. The room was particularly beautiful and clean and the grounds...

The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff were kind and very helpful. The a/c was welcome on the 90+degrees we had. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of options. I will be staying there again!

Convenient, clean and spacious, but a bit expensive.

Excellent staff, very polite and helpful. Beautiful, serene surroundings. Breakfast or a glass of champagne out in the patio surrounded by beautiful plants is amazing.
