“The location is beautiful — surrounded by nature. It is also close to Bastogne if you want to visit WWII sites. The lodging, though, was unfortunately not pleasant. The whole place smelled like mildew. When we checked the first bedroom, the bedding was heavily perfumed to try to cover up the smell of mildew. The second bedroom smelled awful. Not just mildew smells. Two of us decided to sleep on the couches instead of sleeping in that room. Opening the windows did very little. On top of that,……

“The owners were very patient while I spoke my broken French to both of them. Both of the owners were very polite and even gave us slices of watermelon as it was a bit warm when we arrived. I would recommend this wonderful little cottage in this perfectly quaint setting to anyone.”

“No instructions were sent as to how to gain entrance to the property - phone calls went to voicemail with no reply to messages left. After knocking on neighbours doors I found a lovely lady who rang the owner. However, we were given the wrong code for the key box by the owner.. Follow up phonecalls went to voicemail even when the lovely neighbour rang again. She then tried with her husband's phone and this was answered and we were then given the correct code. It took us 40 frustrating minutes to……
