The staff were all so very kind, polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet and order able menu options were good if you love Indian food. Continental breakfast items are also there. Loved all the fresh flowers and floating flower arrangements. Plus if you are traveling to chennai by air, it is 10 minutes literally from the airport. Rooms are very generous.

Don't get dazzled by other 5 star hotels in Chennai. This is part of Oberoi group and consistently maintaining its quality all around. Close to the international airport, still quiet and rooms are functionally situated for amenities. Hotel staff are very friendly and cater to your food needs. It does not jazz up with lights and fanfare but a pretty good staying place when you travel from far away places like USA or Canada. You can rest, unwind and move on to your mission in Chennai, be its a travel agenda or work. I have been staying here whenever I visit Chennai. Ideally suited when you have to go to the airport early in the morning which is normally the case for most of the international flights. It is about 15Km away from the center of the city and it can be to your advantage to stay in a quiet neighborhood after work hours

From the get go , I love this place. Security is excellent. Reception is amazing. Rooms are clean and meticulously maintained. They have an excellent collection of drinks. They even have Japanese Suntory. Their shot is half the amount of traditional shot, lol. Not a big deal. They charge you for drop off at airport , which is a bit unusual for the kind of star hotel like this. No complaints. This place is my go to on the last day of my vacation before flying back home

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at anywhere in the world. I've stayed at the Trident three times over the past few years, and each time has been a perfect experience. World class accomodations at an entirely affordable price: about the cost of an average hotel stay in the US, but far exceeds expectations for that price range. I've traveled both alone and with my family, and both experiences were equally satisfying. Next time I'll remember to take pictures.

We stayed one night only... it was great hotel with good food. Great location for the airport the next morning... Wonderful pool... with picturesque setting. Great staff and service especially the restaurant team, Vinoth in particular went above and beyond... Front door staff were very welcoming too.
